Good evening DREAMERS and Happy New Year to each of you!! I pray this finds you well and in great spirits!!!! Wow…..we are definitely blessed to see yet another beautiful year and I’m so excited about what God has in store for us!!! Let’s prepare our hearts and minds to be receptive to the great things that are to come our way!!
Right before the New Year came in, I came across a quote that spoke volumes to me and I thought I’d share…… “Don’t dig up in doubt what you’ve planted in faith”. This really spoke to my heart and spirit because it’s the answered a few questions I was asking myself. Each and every year we make some sort of resolution; whether you keep them private or make them public. There is always something that we want to change, be better at, or maybe even do a complete overhaul. We make these resolutions with the greatest intent to follow through with each and every one of them. But very quickly, as the New Year moves forward the drive and passion for our resolution seems to fizzle away. You know, as humans we are so impatient. As I’ve heard older folks refer to the younger people as the “microwavable generation”; meaning we want things instantly; right now, as soon as we ask. Because we asked God so nicely last week, we expect Him to give us what we want when we want it. Unfortunately, life just doesn’t work that way. So many times we pray and ask God to bless us with all of these earthly possessions, not knowing that if God really did give us what we wanted when we asked we would not have any sense of appreciation or gratitude. We would take our blessings so lightly. When we go to God with a sincere heart asking for our needs and even our wants we must be willing to wait in God’s timing…….and that also means working towards them in our time of waiting. We must be willing to tell ourselves, God knows what is best, so when the timing is right He will bless me with that which I asked for. Your time of waiting should be fruitful…….praying, working diligently, hoping, helping, planning, and preparing!!
When planting your seeds (your wants, needs, or desires) you must plant in faith. Just merely saying it out of your mouth isn’t enough. Yes, we are to speak them into existence but there’s more to it… When a farmer plants his seeds he doesn’t sit and wait around for them to grow or produce; but he waters and tend to the grounds until he seeds fruits come forward. He goes forward with tending to other parts of the farm.
As we go forward in life and throughout this New a Year, I encourage you to tend to your faith which in turn will provide a harvest. You have started the year planting that which you are expecting. Don’t get discourage because you don’t see anything happening right now. You have faith and trust God that whatever youve planted for this year will manifest in your life. Don’t dig it up because things aren’t going as planned….God can still bless you on a detour!!! I encourage you to be diligent in doing good work, praying, and preparing for what you’ve asked God for. A lot can happen in a year……if you do nothing the time will still pass, so use the time wisely and put forth the required effort so see your dreams & prayers come to pass.
This is a New Year, so let’s do some New Things!! You can’t expect a new result from using the same techniques. You need to step out of the box and take God out of the box as well!! Each day do something that will get you closer to your dream. Encourage yourself in the Lord…..I am praying for an amazingly awesome year!! I’m ready, hoping, and expecting God to catapult us toward our destiny. I hope this word inspires your heart and mind as it has done mine! God bless ~Blessings Flow
