There are more than 78 scripture references in the Bible about having faith. In the Christian faith, faith is the foundation of everything that we believe and do. As a believer, God is pretty adamant about having steady faith in this earthly life. Without faith, it’s certainly almost impossible to lead a life pleasing to the Father. He reminds us in Hebrews 11:6, “but without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that comes to the Father must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. God also reminds us in James 1:8, “a double minded man is unstable in all his ways”. Faith and doubt can’t reside in the same place; one will always overpower the other.
First!!! In all things concerning the Father, faith first. In Hebrews 11:1, tells us that now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. The word substance is defined as solid presence; of importance or significance. The word now is defined as right now or in the present moment. It doesn’t mean the faith you’ll have once you get what you want, or the faith you’ll have once it works out, but it means to have faith right now, when you’re right now is unfavorable. The point is to believe in faith that you have what you currently don’t see.
As a believer, God wants you to know that He is there; never leaving or abandoning you; having sympathy and concern for you. It’s impossible to fight our battles alone; I mean you can try, but it’s not something I would recommend. In faithing your fight you are acknowledging that you need God’s help. Faithing it is believing that God is working it for the good. Faithing your fight is believing that God will not forsake you. Faithing your fight is believing that God has brought you this far, and He will continue to carry you forward.
I know, it’s easier said than done, but God has a way of giving us subtle reminders that He’s there with us. Unfortunately, its trials and tribulation that builds faith. Most times, God has to make a believer out of us. But as some point, Gods wants us to show Him the faith that we are building. I’m always reminded of the dare in the Bible where God says, “try me and see”. (Malachi 3:10) God has a proven track record for working things out. God has a proven track record of keeping His word. God has a proven record of being on time. God doesn’t change the goal lines, we do! God never moves, we do! God wants to bless you; God wants to be good to you; God wants to see you live an abundant life. For what God has given, what are you willing to give?
I pray this has encouraged you on today! God loves you, blessings flow
