God speaks to us in the now. God does not speak to us in past tense. His word is readily applied to whatever you and I face today. John 16:33 says, “I have said these things to you that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulations. But take heart, I have overcome the world”.
There is nothing that we face that the glory of God can’t handle. It doesn’t matter if its life or ends in death, it doesn’t change the goodness of God.
1 John 5:4 says, “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith”.
Romans 8:37 says, “In all things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us”.
The overcomer is a faith principle that you must choose each and every day. It’s a principle that defines lives, families, mindsets, attitudes, hearts, vision, relationships, and emotions.
God didn’t promise that we would be free of trials in this life, however, He promised that no matter what you face you will not face it alone. It is in the weakest, most vulnerable state, that you are your strongest. The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). You may ask, how can one even speak of joy when you are facing trials and tribulations? The scripture didn’t say, the joy of your job, the joy of your bank account, the joy of your family………….it’s says the joy of the Lord.
The joy OF the Lord…….OF is defined as the relationship between a part and a whole. As you being a part of Christ, you being the part and God being the whole. It is in Him that you are contained and have your being. Therefore, in part when younot well, not happy, frustrated, or fearful, you can pull on the wholeness of who Christ says you are in Him. The joy of Lord working it out for you should indeed make you joyful.
Thoughts!!!! Have an amazing time today! 💙
