New Life in Christ declares that you are a new creature, that your former days are have passed, cleared and cleaned. This means that God graced you an opportunity to live a blessed and righteous life according to His will and promises. The life in Christ is a dual promise; a promise to life your human experience exceptionally, and the promise to live eternally. Most times, people tend to talk about life after death, that we will be with the Father. However, most times we neglect to discuss the abundant life that God desires for us to live now. God did not merely die for you to live and enjoy life after death, but your new life in Christ is for you to live and enjoy now as well. The blessings of this human experience is for you to experience in this life now, not later.
Your earthly life is as described:
John 10:10 states, for the thief comes to kill, steal and to destroy. I come that you may have life, and life abundantly.
Jeremiah 29:11 states, for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. plans to give you hope and a future.
2 Corinthians 5:17 states, therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. The old has passed away, and behold you are new.
Isaiah 40:31 states, but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up on wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Philippians 4:13 states, I can do all things through Christ which gives me strength.
See, God gives us instructions for the good life now. The eternal life is promised to us when we live a righteous life, a saved life, a moral life, and Christ centered life. Your eternal life matters, but your earthly life matters too. The abundant life is not some far-fetched principle that you dream about, but it’s a life that Christ died for that you can live and enjoy now.
This life is a choice, and you must choose it. Most people think choosing the good life is in Christ is boring, you can’t have any fun, stuffy and so on. But , if you read the word of God and what He describes for a blessed and righteous life, that is the farthest thing from the truth. It is not God’s desires to stifle your life, but to upgrade your life. In the words of the people, level up your life. You see, the world offers you all the fame and the fortune, the glitz and the glam, but at the end of that day, that’s all it has to offer.
Mark 8:36 states, what profits a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul. The only assurance that world will give you is that you will have a good time, but it has no solution for your problems, reliefs for your pain and sorrow, and no door for your tomorrow. See, God promises abundant, new life now and later. In Christ you are assured and insured.
God gives us freedom in life to choose freely, however, the problem with that freedom is that many uses it for a means to indulge in sinful nature. It’s the sinful nature that voids the blessings of the promise of the abundant, new life. God wants you to see things through new lenses, with new perspectives. A godly life is a much better life, because we will not have this earthly experience forever. This new life in Christ doesn’t mean you will be free of problems, however, it does mean that you will overcome it, you will always have help, assurance and insurance with the Father. I find comfort in Psalm 34:19, which states, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him from all of them. In this new life, you have help, and you are loved.
I pray you are blessed by being a part of this family. God loves you, I do too!
Blessings flow!
