Propel

In my reading, I heard the word propel. Propel is defined as to push, onward, drive; to move in a particular direction; to thrust or push into motion.

This particular scripture came to mind: Psalm 18:33, which says, He makes my feet like hind feet like a deer and cause me to walk upon high places.

Let’s be honest, life is hard and is foiled with all kinds of distractions and disappointments. But, I believe God is saying, “propel”.  There are three things for sure we know the enemy comes to do and that’s to kill, steal and destroy, but God is saying, propel.  I know what my purpose is in this life and every time without fail when I am faced with distractions and disappointments God always lead me back to my purpose and that is to ignite the people with the promise.

The enemy comes to cause distractions to throw you off your game.  He comes to disrupt your peace, steal your joy and plant frustration in your path, but God says, “propel”.  There is nothing anyone can do to stop the plan and the purpose God has for your life.  The enemy can frustrate your path, but he can’t stop what God has in store.  The idea is to frustrate you to the point that you give up and forfeit your promise.

You may say, it’s hard to push onward or push forward when you’re frustrated and feel defeated.  But, God reminds you and me in His word that He is with us always.  Trusting God doesn’t free us of the snares of the enemy, but God promises that He’s with us as we go through it.  God gives us feet like a deer to propel over and against what the enemy throws our way.  The misfortune of many is that they believe that they must carry their own burden, when God says to bring your burdens to me.  Our physical body is not equipped to handle stress and God knows that.  God desires to free us from the self afflictions of stress and worry.  Beyond the walls of stress and worry is the abundant life God has gifted us.  You and I have to make the conscious decision every day to “propel”; that in spite of what we face and feel we have to trust God and move forward.  We have to make the conscious decision to press our way. The word of God says in Philippians 3:14, “I press forward to the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ”.

We have to be diligent in our pursuit of what God has called us to do because the enemy doesn’t fight fair.  So, as believers we have to vigilant and constant in prayer as we live and move in this life.

I know this one thing for sure, if God before me and if God be for me, who can be against me? (Romans 8:31)

2 Kings 6:16 says, don’t be afraid, there are more with us, than those that are on the other side.

So, with God, we always have the majority!! Propel!!
