It’s been a minute! I hope that you all are well and are in great spirits. I wanted to share some words of encouragement. As we enter a new week, we don’t know what we’ll face but we serve a God that already has the answers to our questions and the solutions to our problems.
I pondered Psalm 16 this morning, in verse 11 where it reads, “you show me the path of life. In your presence is the fullness of joy. At your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
Fullness is defined as to be filled to capacity; having enough, especially more than enough.
Pleasure is defined as a feeling of satisfaction and enjoyment; a source of joy and delight.
This sure put a smile on my face this morning……that we serve a God, a good shepherd that is concerned and cares about our fullness and happiness in this earth. In order to experience the fullness and pleasures of God we must be willing to follow the “path of life”. The path of life may be narrow, however, it’s a path of safety, a path of joy, a path of grace and mercy. Life is better and only gets better when we follow the Shepherd. That the point. Though sometimes, we go astray, and we wander aimlessly in this life, we have a shepherd that comes looking for us when stray away from the path of life.
The path of life is determined by the decisions we make, and we make the ultimate decision when we decide to follow Jesus. When we decide Jesus, we opt for grace and mercy; we opt for unmerited love; we opt for forgiveness; we opt for change; we opt for correction and direction.
So, as you begin this week, remember you have a Good Shepherd, who leads with love and compassion, who’s mercy endures forever. As the Word declares, you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13) Have the most amazing week.
