Defining Self

Knowing who you are is very important to your destiny.  Knowing what makes you happy; what makes you sad; your weaknesses and strengths; your worth; and most of all knowing what is needed and necessary to make it to your destiny.  Sometimes, we look to people and things to make us happy and complete, not knowing that we ourselves must find what is within us that makes us whole.  Acknowledging Christ in your life, and knowing who you are is what makes you complete.  Although there are joys of this world that makes living worth while, they don’t necessarily make us complete; they only give us temporary satisfaction.

Although, you may not have all the your desire, your bank account may not have the zeros you want, or you may not be where you thought you would have been……………ask yourself this question, “what makes you, you?” or “In your current situation are you at least thankful for what you already have?”  God made each of us unique in our own way.  Do you own the way God made you?

If you never get that dream job or car, get married, have children, or have that business, will that define you? You must learn the true essence of yourself, and what God as truly made you to be.  God wants us all to be successful, but He doesn’t want us to sacrifice ourselves or our morals and values just to gain the fortunes of this world.  God wants us, and has called us to be virtuous people; a people that are faithful, hopeful, generous, thankful, bold, courageous, men and women of standard!!!  God wants us to stand firm on the foundation that He has created for us.

We define ourselves, through seeking Christ, because its from the hands of the Father that we were created.  I understand the struggle, and can relate too well.  We sometimes struggle with life decisions; whether to go right or left, or to say no or yes.  One of the hardest things to do, is to leave our worries and frustrations at the cross; because in the flesh, we want to try and fix it all on our own.  God wants us to leave the worries of life to Him, for He know the plans that He has for our life, and it is good, to give us hope and a future.

I encourage you today, to do some self/soul seeking, and ask God to help you to develop yourself, and define your purpose!!

Love you, ~Blessings Flow
