Test Your Godly

Test Your Godly
Define Godly:
Devoutly religious; having great reverence for God; good; coming from God; divine; have a religious character
People will test your “Godly”!!! Plain & Simple!!  You might ask, what do you mean by that?  People will attempt to make you lose control; make you go to a place that is ungodly.  Whether it is in your actions, your words, or even your thoughts.  Satan will use others to test your “Godly”.  People can attack your character; people can attack you or do things to you that will get you out of character.  It may cause your attitude to change, it may cause you to use vulgar or inappropriate language, and in some cases, some people cause physical harm because of what someone has done to them.
You must be able to recognize when your “Godly” is being attacked.  You can ask yourself these questions, “Is there anything that has recently tested your “Godly”?  Did someone cut you in the line at Wal-Mart or McDonalds? Did someone cut you off in traffic on your way to work? Did you lock your keys in the car? You didn’t get that promotion at work that you put in for?  Just to name a few…….but there are so many things that test our “Godly” daily.
But it’s all in how you respond to these attacks.  You are to have self-control; for the Bible states, be ye angry, but sin not; let not the sun go down on your wrath. Ephesian 4:26.  Although, sometimes things happen to us that is not right and sometimes people treat us wrong or do things to us that are wrong.  Guess what, we all have experienced that.  But, we are not responsible for how others treat us; and we are not responsible for what others do to us, but we are only responsible for ourselves, our words, and in how to react to others actions.    The Word of God declares that love covers a multitude of sin (1Peter 4:8).  Therefore, although someone may treat your wrong, cut you off in traffic; jump you in line at the grocery store, that doesn’t mean that we have to act irrationally.  I’m sure the person who did the wrong is aware that they did it.  You can take the Godly approach……………..so the next time someone cuts you off in traffic, or jump you in line at the grocery store,  just say “God Bless You”.  This will save you from ruining your day and getting upset over something you had absolutely no control over.  The only control you have is in how you respond.  You have the power to control your day……  Let you response in wrong doing to you exemplify your Godliness.  Let your light shine through the darkness, for only light can cast out darkness.
