All Things

And we know all things work together for the good of them that love God, who have been called according to His purpose.

Many of us know this scripture my heart; it’s a favorite for most. It’s often a go to when things are not going your way, or when things do work out the way you intended. This scripture is easy to remember and to recite, however, it’s not always so easy to live. The part of this scripture than many people forget to focus on is the “all things” part. The thing about “all things” is just that, all things. It means that enduring the good, the bad, the ugly and the in between is all a part of “all things” working for your good. Then again, all things according to His purpose, not your purpose or for your own personal again. It’s not easy to deal with the “all things” because that sometimes means that you will be overlooked, experience unfair or biased treatment, or even just down right being told no. God gives us the things that we are ready for. He knows that if He blesses you with the right thing but at the wrong time you will mess it up. Because God cares so much about your life and your future, He allows us to go through life lessons not to harm us but to purge and prepare us.

Sometimes, “all things” can seem like forever. It can seem like you’re always fighting a battle or going through some type of discord. I’m inclined to believe that the same way we want assurance from God, He wants that same assurance from you and I. God doesn’t want you to abuse His blessings or misuse it; God doesn’t want you to mishandle anything that He gives you. Therefore, I am inclined to think that when we go through “all things” its always beneficial to each of us. There is nothing that God will allow you and I to go through that isn’t for a purpose. As you make your way through “all things”, the good, the bad, the ugly and the in between, I encourage you to study your course. Don’t take all the in between stuff for granted. There is a lesson in it all. One thing I have learned about trusting God and having faith…….it can be as easy or as hard as you make it. The choice is yours. It’s God’s desire that we don’t have it hard, but He wants to ensure that we can handle all that He has instore for you and me.

The “all things” is what makes it beautiful and so worth it. The “all things” is what give you your testimony. The “all things” is what makes us grow closer to Him. The “all things” is what refines us, tunes us, build us, prepare us and ultimately blesses us. So, as you encounter the “all things”, the bad, the good, the ugly and the in between I encourage you to trust the process. Have faith and truly believe that all things are working for your good, because what you’re working towards is for His glory and for His purpose and to the benefit of all who loves Him.

I pray this has encouraged you! Love you, blessings flow
