Trace Your Steps

Frustration, doubt, and anxiety are sometimes all too familiar. Dealing with life circumstances can bring on these feelings, but God reminds to not act like we have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13)

Every now and then we need to be reminded, who we are and who’s we are. The enemy can’t change what God has orchestrated, however, he seeks to distort your view and change your focus.  In this, is how we fall short, and get detoured off of the path that God has destined for us.  Despite, God is always waiting, willing, lovingly with open arms to always, always receive us back unto Him.  I came across a quote that was so befitting of this and it states,

“Trust Him.  He’s carried you this far, hasn’t He? Don’t you think He could carry you any further? Trust Him.”

What little words, but packs such a powerful punch! In Psalm 138:8, we are reminded that God will perfect that which concerns you. We are also reminded in Matthew 28:20 that God is with us always even until the end of time.  So, if you take a moment to trace your steps, you will see that God has been right there with you guarding you, re-rerouting you, deterring you from anything that wasn’t good for you.  Even if God allowed you to go through a storm, it was for a lesson, a fulfillment that was necessary for our life.  Often, we focus on the things that we don’t have, and negate to be thankful for what God has blessed us with.  When you find yourself in this rut, I encourage you to trace your steps.  You may not have everything you want, but you have everything you need.  Everything may not be perfect but thank God they aren’t worse.  There’s always something to be thankful for.  Things could always be worse than what you think your worse is!  Trace your steps.

At every point of triumph, and every point of failure, God was right there. In Psalm 23, it states, yea thou I walk through the valley in the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For you are with me; your rod and your staff comforts me.  In your darkest valley, God has the power to pick you up and carry you, however, He allows you to walk because God must teach us to be strong and not to fear.  God must teach us to be bold. God must teach us to walk by faith and not by sight.  God teaches us that by allowing us to walk, as He walks with us. Trace your steps.  God is not absent or unaware, but God must show us that He is there instead of always telling us.  Just as a baby learns how to walk, they may fall a few times before gaining balance, but they don’t quit.  Faith is persistent in the pursuit of what God’s word tells us and what He has for us.  So, anytime you need a reminder, or you’re not sure if God is there for you, trace your steps.  You’ll find that He’s been there all along, destroying hurdles, bulldozing road, creating new roads, protecting you from the enemy’s plots, and being a bridge where there are holes. Trace your steps.  God is a God of rearranging, especially when we think we know what is best.  God isn’t going to let you hurt yourself; He will reroute if necessary, just trace your steps.
I pray this has blessed your spirit! Hope you’re having an amazing day! ~BlessingsFlow
