Inside of Mercy

Mercy is defined as compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone; an act of divine favor or compassion; benevolence

Inside is defined as the inner part or interior; and position of power of trust

They nailed him to the cross, pierced him through his hands and feet.  He cried out to God, forgive them because they know not what they do.  He proclaimed; it is finished.  That’s inside of mercy…….

…..the death and resurrection of Christ signifies life and forgiveness for humanity. His love on the cross, that’s inside of mercy. We see inside of mercy for every slash he took for our sins.  For every sin forgiven, we see inside of mercy; for every blessing, we see inside of mercy; for every healing, we see inside of mercy; for protection we see inside of mercy; for every open door, we see inside of mercy; for every yes and amen, we see inside of mercy; for every no, we see inside of mercy.  For everything that Father has protected us from, we see inside of mercy.

God allows us a front row seat of mercy each day He allows you to see another day. Every time we get to embrace family, that’s inside of mercy. When God provides, that’s inside of mercy; when God makes ways out of His way, that’s inside of mercy.  That answered prayer, is inside of mercy.  This exemplifies the transparency of God, the love and heart of God. God wants us to love Him, because we choose to love him.  God wants us to love him, because He first loved us.

I don’t know about you, but I am grateful for the blood. I don’t take it for granted that when the Father sees me, He sees the blood.  It’s because of Jesus that we are afforded the grace to see inside of mercy.  The life, death and resurrection of Jesus is a glimpse of the inside of mercy.  Whatever burden this life gives, Christ carried it on the cross.

I am reminded of the Israelites in the wilderness after God delivered them out of Egypt.  They would complain about being in the wilderness and God would get upset.  I can remember Moses interceding for them to God so that God wouldn’t destroy them…. that was inside of mercy.  That same mercy is available today.  I’m sure God has the power to wipe us off this earth, but when He sees us, He sees the blood…..that’s inside of mercy. Jesus, is inside of mercy.  Christ is always interceding for us to the Father, that’s inside of mercy.  So, as you commemorate this Holy Week, may you be reminded of the times the inside of mercy covered you.

Happy Holy Week
