I swear, sometimes as humans, in the flesh we can get beside ourselves. We have a way of thinking that things should go just the way we have them planned out. And when that doesn’t happen, oh boy do we know how to show out. As the old folks use to say, we get ornery, because we don’t understand why things aren’t going as planned, or matter of fact, as we planned them. We even question God, wondering what the holdup, lol. We even have the nerve to pray to God about our plans, not even considering that our plans may not be in accord with God’s plan. I laugh because I can think of myself doing this very same thing a time or two, lol. We have a tendency to get ahead of ourselves thinking our life is our own, when indeed we own nothing at all. When our plans don’t work out the way we have them planned, that is simply God’s way of showing and telling us you are not in control. However, I do believe that God does give us a certain measure of control, but when we over step the boundaries of that, God has to say, slow your roll, you’re going too far into uncharted territory. And this isn’t to hurt us, but I believe it’s to remind us who we are, and who’s we are. It’s to remind us that, although God has given us free will, He still has boundaries and rules that we must follow in order to receive the best from Him. If God just allows us to move with every plan that we come up with we will live a very reckless life. And I truly believe that some of us would be bold enough to say, well, I don’t need God.
When God allows our plans to go astray, it just His way of saying, I give you the pen, but I control what is written, and how much is written. In Isaiah 60:22, it states, when the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen. Even in Jeremiah 29:11, it states, for I know the plan I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. If many of the plans I had for myself had come to past my life would be a mess. God had to derail some of those things because Lord knows where I would have ended up. In other words, God is saying, you think you know, but you have no clue. Sometimes, we throw a fit, so God let’s some things come to past, and let it beat the hell out of us, before we realize that something wasn’t as good for us as we thought.
Let God Write the Story
Do you know that every part of your life should be for the glory of God? From the smallest to the largest of accomplishments, should be for His Glory. In essence, He is the one who gave us our being, from the hair that grows from the crown of our heads, to our feet that carry us wherever we go. In all we do, aspire to accomplish, it should be for the glory of God. We should take nothing for granted, assuming that things should just happen. Our very being is a matter of grace and mercy. Take a moment to ponder that………
I encourage you today, that although things may look a little faint, things aren’t going as planned, and you may be wondering why you, but hold fast to Philippians 1:6, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it out to completion. God is the surest thing I know, and His word is true. This word is certainly for me today, so I hope this encourages your soul to hold on just a little while longer. God is a God of decency and order, and those that trust Him will not be ashamed. (Psalm 25:3) I love you, & God loves you too. ~BlessingsFlow
