I Am Contained & Configured In Christ

Contained is defined as to have or hold something within; to control or restrained; poised.

Configured is defined as to be shape or put together in a particular way; arranged or designed for a particular purpose.

God’s word is clear and sharp. In James 4:8, it states if you draw near to me, I’ll draw near to you. In John 5:7, it also states, if you abide in me, and my Word abides in you, you may ask anything and it will be done to you. That’s crystal clear. God doesn’t want to control you especially if it’s against your will; but God does want to lead you from a life of destruction to a life of abundance.

So, now that we know God has declared this things to you and I, what will we choose to do?! When we give our hearts to Christ it’s a willing, voluntary action. It’s an act of love and trust. You are saying you trust God’s way over your own; you are trusting God to lead you and you will follow. This is what it means to be contained in Christ; to give your heart and mind to the vulnerability of Christ. Let’s be honest, most of us think we know what is best until we find ourselves flat on our faces. Then, looking to God to clean up the mess. Lol…. we’ve all been there.  However, that doesn’t have to be the ending.

When we allow ourselves to be contained in Christ, we then can allow Christ to do the configuring. Let’s be honest, change is easier said than done. Configuration allows God to do and make the necessary changes. Christ does the redefining and redesigning of our hearts and minds. Following Christ doesn’t mean that it’s the end all of our trial and tribulations, but it means that we have help; help that promises that it will work out for our good. Configuring allows God to purge us of the old, and replace it with the desire to do good and pursue good.

I am Contained and Configured in Christ!

This is an ongoing, yet daily pursuit for God to lead us in he right direction and depend on Him to do all the heavy lifting. God is an amazing problem solver and destroyer. Our jobs are to pray, have faith, and trust. When we do our part, God can easily do His!

I pray this has blessed you & inspired your spirit to draw closer to Christ. He awaits!
