LOVE Grows IT

The other day I was scrolling through one of my favorite social media sites, Pinterest. I swear, an hour could pass before I even realize it.  My favorite section on Pinterest are the quotes.  They always seem to have a quote for any need.  The other day, I was searching quotes for love, and for whatever reason I came across this quote that I completely misread. Instead of reading what it actually said, I read, “Love Grows It”.  Of course after refocusing, I realized that what I read was wrong, but it was the perfect quote for what I was looking for.

LOVE GROWS IT…….that statement was profound, to me at least!! I’m sure that most of us are familiar with this scripture about love:

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, love never fails…..

I would think that this is love in its truest form. LOVE is just what it is…….you can’t take away from it, and you can’t add to it.  But often times, it is us, our human fleshly desires that causes is to change love into what we want it to be.  We choose to take away from love, or add what we want to it.  However, if we learn to practice love in its true form, there would be no deterring from it, because it tells us exactly what love is, and what it’s supposed to do.

We deter from what love is, because we let hurt, disappointments, or discouragement cloud us from what it truly means. Love is an unconditional act or gesture, however, love becomes conditional, because we as humans are conditional, fickle to say the least, and therefore we place conditions on love.  When love is used wisely and correctly it will do what it’s supposed to do, and that’s to make things GROW.  Love is like water, where there is love there is life; where there is love, there is hope; where there is love, there is forgiveness; where there is love, there is growth, where there is love, there is family.  Love causes growth to whatever it touches, period.  Love is immediate!!

Love only recognizes its purpose. It doesn’t recognize the conditions and limits that we place on it. Love works and makes things grow because that’s what it’s instructed to do; anything outside of that realm is null.  For whatever reason, we sometimes, think that love is something that we place in a bottle, and spray out at our convenience. Love shouldn’t be used as a bargaining tool, or as a way to justify your injustices. When you have love, you give love, and when you give love, you show love!

When love is used appropriately, it shows up, you can see it, and you can feel it. It’s not forced, and it can’t be faked. Don’t love for gain or exposure, but love, because it’s FREE.  So, I encourage you today, learn to practice LOVE in its truest form, and not for what you think it should be. Love is not described by the small box of our definition, but by exactly what Christ said it is………plain and simple.

Spread love around life confetti……

I love you, for real!
