Dreamers….. hope you are well! Happy Tuesday!
There is a phrase I often say when I am feeling disheveled, worried, or anxious, “HIDE ME”.
Psalm 91:1-2 says whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High shall rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust”.
Hide is defined as to put or keep out of sight; to conceal from view; to camouflaged.
Fear, worry, and doubt are natural human responses to many circumstances, but they are not of God. In 2 Timothy 1:7 it says, “for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind”.
When we find ourselves in places of uncertainty, we are vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy. And who likes to be vulnerable? The favorable thing about God is that we don’t have to go looking for a safe space or place because God has already told us where it is. So, get in there with God. It’s like when a small child is in an unfamiliar place or surrounded by strangers, that child naturally retreats to their parent and hides behind them. Well, as children of the Most High, we should be no different. When are find ourselves in unfamiliar places, feeling unsure, scared or even worried, retreat to your Heavenly Father, and get in there with God. I am reminded of my 113lbs German Shepherd name Apollo who thinks he is a lap dog. I don’t care how small the space, he will find a way to squeeze himself into. If you have a pet, you understand. I encourage you to be the same way with God. I don’t care awkward the space or circumstance, squeeze yourself right in there next to God.
You do not have to “today” alone or do any other day for that matter, because you have a place, a safe place to hide when life becomes a lot. Always remember, Christ is not far removed from our human experience, and He is aware of every feeling and emotion we have. God knows so cast your cares because He cares for you.
Have the most amazing week. Be encouraged, blessings flow.
